UCI Aligns Women’s WorldTour Points with Men’s Scale

The Women's Monuments and Grand Tours will see their points scales increased (up to 1,300 points for the Tour de France Femmes), the major classics will move to 500 points and the ProSeries

Jan. 5, 2026

The UCI has announced a major overhaul of the points system for women’s road racing, bringing it fully in line with the men’s UCI WorldTour structure.

👉 Effective from late 2025 and fully implemented in 2026, this reform marks an important step forward in strengthening the prestige, visibility, and competitiveness of women’s professional cycling.

🔑 Key changes at a glance:

A new five-tier points system aligned with the men’s scale

The four Women’s Monuments — Milan-Sanremo, Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, and Liège–Bastogne–Liège — will now award 800 points to the winner

Grand Tours points updated accordingly:

Giro d’Italia Women: 1,100 points

Vuelta Femenina: 1,200 points

Tour de France Femmes: 1,300 points

Major Women’s WorldTour races and key races (e.g. Strade Bianche) now award 500 points and ProSeries victories increase to 250 points (up from 200). Points increases apply not only to winners, but across all ranked riders

This harmonized system supports an expanded Women’s WorldTour calendar of 28 events, including new additions such as Dwars door Vlaanderen. These reforms reflect the UCI’s continued commitment to elevating women’s cycling, creating stronger incentives for teams, greater recognition for athletes, and a more balanced global ranking system.
