The AIGCP confirms new 2026 invitation rules for men’s UCI ProTeams: the top 3 ProTeams from the 2025 UCI Team World Ranking will receive automatic invitations to all UCI WorldTour events.
The AIGCP hereby informs you of the official confirmation of the new invitation rules for men’s UCI ProTeams for the 2026 season, resulting from constructive discussions led by the AIGCP. As from next year, the top three UCI ProTeams in the 2025 UCI Team World Ranking will henceforth benefit from an automatic invitation to all events on the UCI WorldTour calendar.
This historic measure therefore guarantees the three best UCI ProTeams systematic access to the most prestigious races across the entire UCI WorldTour calendar. Organisers will thus be required to invite these teams on the basis of the final UCI Team World Ranking of the previous season (dated 19 October 2025), providing welcome stability for these high-performing teams, namely: Tudor Pro Cycling Team, Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team and Cofidis.
At the same time, and for the first time, the top five UCI ProTeams in the same ranking (Tudor Pro Cycling Team, Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, Cofidis, TotalEnergies and Caja Rural – Seguros RGA) will also benefit from an automatic invitation to all UCI ProSeries events, thereby strengthening the stability of their racing calendar and increasing visibility for their partners. It should also be noted that UCI ProTeams from the host country of ProSeries events will likewise receive an automatic invitation.
The AIGCP, which worked towards the implementation of these measures, welcomes this major step forward for the benefit of second-division teams.
Teams remain free to accept or decline the invitations received within the regulatory timeframe.
